2008 - Soleus Club Bicycle Fest
Once again the Sprockids portable playground proved to be a great favorite
with the kids of all ages with IMBA Program Coordinator on hand to demonstrate
and guide the young riders.

Sunday 16 March 2008 - Six local MTB enthusiasts and Children's riding group
leaders attended the Sprockids field demonstration followed by a lecture and
slide presentation at the Soleus Bicycle Club delivered by Doug with translation
assistance by Lior Ben Menachem.
For the field work
Avinoam Yanai the leader of the Netanya Sprockids club bussed in 19 of the kids
and their bicycles. This is one of 10 Sprockids clubs supported by the One to
One British based charity organization represent by Hedi Wax in Israel.

Early Morning with the Rupin Sprockids Group for a ride down to Michmoret Beach
Afternoon - 3pm -
8pm at the Soleus Bicycle Club
22 local MTB enthusiasts and Children's riding group leaders from across Israel,
from as far afield as the Port of Haifa in the North to the City of Sederot
under continuous siege from rockets fired by terrorist groups in the Gaza strip
in the South, attended the Sprockids field demonstration followed by a lecture
and slide presentation at the Soleus Bicycle Club delivered by Doug with
translation assistance by Mor Marmary, Sprockids program coordinator in Israel.

Marmary the leader of the Benyamina Sprockids club bussed in 5 of the kids and
their bicycles. This is one of the Sprockids clubs founded and led by Mor in
Israel.
Tuesday 18 March
2008 - 3pm - 8pm
28 Israel Cycling Federation certified Children's bicycle trainers, from across
Israel, attended the Sprockids field demonstration followed by a lecture and
slide presentation at the Soleus Bicycle Club delivered by Doug with translation
assistance by Lior Ben Menachem.
For the field work
Nimrod Dubinsky the leader of the competitive Tel Aviv kids cycling club brought
in 6 of his kids and their bicycles. Emilio Roitman CEO of the ICF and Eyal
Herstig their MTB division head and Nimrod Cohen [Netserim], and Dan Basner of
Simoech, national events organizers, attended the field work session and were
very impressed at the enthusiasm with which the kids embraced the challenges
provided by the Sprockids portable playground.
Wednesday 19 March
2008 - 3pm - 8pm
18 Israel Cycling Federation and Wingate XCool certified Children's bicycle
trainers, from across Israel, attended the Sprockids field demonstration
followed by a lecture and slide presentation at the Soleus Bicycle Club
delivered by Doug with translation assistance by Lior Ben Menachem.

9 Sports teachers, from Tel Aviv schools, attended the Sprockids field
demonstration followed by a lecture and slide presentation at the Soleus Bicycle
Club delivered by Doug with translation assistance by Lior Ben Menachem.

Members of the SRBC Sprockids club in Bet Shemesh attended the Sprockids field
demonstration followed by a lecture and slide presentation at the Soleus Bicycle
Club delivered by Doug with translation assistance by Lior Ben Menachem.
For the field work
Eitan Hevroni the leader of the SRBC cycling club brought in 15 of his kids and
their bicycles.
At the conclusion of
each course attendees were presented with Sprockids Leader course certificates
and the participating kids all received a Sprockids Awesome Riding certificate.

74 Kids bicycle Sprockids Leaders were trained and certified The following
organizations were exposed to the benefits to be derived from the introduction
of the Sprockids programs: Israel Cycling Federation, Karen Kayemet Le Israel [KKL]-

One to One Sprockids Kinneret Ride
The Netanya Sprockids club, sponsored by One-To-One, joined the 3rd One to One Kinneret Charity Ride. What an experience! True, the wind made the ride less pleasant than it could have been and a little more difficult, but believe me, the kids who are trained as a group by Avinoam had a great time. On hand was Hedy to make sure all went as planned....see you next year!
TEAMISGAV National Sprockids Event - 10 April 2004
  During the Passover holiday
TEAMISGAV hosted the first National Sprockids race & happening in the Segev forest for kids (under 17years). The day started with an aggressive xc race for Sprockids clubs from all over the country. The trails, laps and race time were built and run in accordance with the Sprockets program recommendations.
This first race was followed by a second event (divided into age categories) which was for untrained and newly joined kids who only wanted to experience the feel of a race.
 During these races a long, hilly and challenging Epic ride was guided by one of
TEAMISGAV volunteers, through the forest, together with a second ride for families with young kids over 7 km of easy trails.
At noon, after the races were finished, a style & height dirt jump contest was held, featuring the best jumpers and down hillers in Israel.
The triple D J line and all of the race trails work was done with a huge help from
TEAMISGAV kids.
After the D J event surrounded by mountain bikes shops and importers came the technical teaching section of the day. Small bridges, ramps and a ladder were build especially for the registered kids. 8 trainers and coaches (which are also the kids heroes), gave the riders technical lessons and tips about controlling their bikes through the course.
Supported by the Israeli Cycling Federation and attended by some 400 riders and more than 1000 supporters and spectators this was truly an epic Sprockids event |
